Canada’s 100 Best

THE PROJECT

Ongoing digital leadership for a national food and culture publication.

Canada’s 100 Best is a nationally recognized publication highlighting the country’s top restaurants, chefs, and culinary voices. As their digital presence grew alongside the print magazine, the team needed experienced leadership to manage their website, campaigns, and digital execution at scale.

We joined on a long-term retainer as Manager of Digital, working closely with marketing, design, and editorial teams to guide everything from platform decisions to performance.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Translating a respected print brand into a scalable digital platform

This engagement focused on managing and evolving a complex publishing ecosystem. The goal was to bring the magazine’s editorial voice and brand recognition into digital channels while improving performance, usability, and reach across the country.

1.

The Challenge

Canada’s 100 Best needed consistent digital oversight. Their website architecture, hosting, advertising, and social presence all required coordination, while content continued to grow and campaigns ran in parallel.

2.

Our Approach

We worked as an embedded extension of the team, coordinating across marketing, design, and content. Efforts focused on rebuilding the WordPress architecture, improving security and performance through managed hosting, and aligning digital execution with editorial goals.

Paid advertising, advertorials, and social campaigns were planned alongside site improvements to ensure consistency and measurable results.

3.

The Solution

A restructured WordPress publishing platform supported by managed WordPress hosting, improved security, and ongoing maintenance. We updated social branding, managed paid ad campaigns, and provided consulting support across digital initiatives.

This created a more stable, scalable foundation for ongoing growth.

4.

Results

Clear, sustained performance gains across channels. Within the first six months, the platform saw:

  • 20% month-over-month traffic growth
  • 22% reduction in bounce rate
  • 15% increase in social followers

The publication gained a stronger, more reliable digital presence without losing its editorial identity.

This project demonstrates how we support organizations through WordPress web design and development paired with ongoing digital leadership.
