THE CHALLENGE

Perform a full rebrand and migration including 300+ podcasts with zero downtime.

This was a fun project from one of our old GEEKPR0N alumni – a full website rebrand from Flying Lizard Studios to The Diecast Podcast – including a website/podcast content & email migration, new domain name, and updated Managed WordPress web hosting.

The biggest challenge was ensuring their 300+ existing podcasts had no down-time at iTunes, Google using 301 redirects to maintain their SEO value, etc, as well as organizing them in a way that was easy for users to access and listen to. Part of the UX/UI strategy was to organize each season into “series” with their own dedicated pages, integrate a new audio player integrated with the podcast distributors and updated social sharing capabilities.

Joey is the absolute best. I needed a full revamp and upgrade to my website, and he was the first person I thought of. His experience, skill, and knowledge in web design made him the perfect choice. He listened to what I wanted, added his own insight and design, and was able to bring an idea and make it into a website. Our podcast has a brilliant new home. It was a smooth, easy, and fun experience. I would recommend him to any of my friends, and anyone who needs a place to launch something special online He's the best at what he does.

The Flying Lizard Studio gang had just updated their logo to their new brand, The Diecast Podcast. We generated a brand new style guide for them based on the colours in their updated logo, and built the site incorporating not only their colours, but many familiar elements to Dungeons & Dragons fans alike.

We also took a look at how their seasons and series were grouped and came up with a new hierarchy and categorization to make it easier for listeners to find their and listen to their podcasts.

300+
EPISODES RECORDED

The Diecast Podcast is a Dungeons & Dragons audio podcast. Join a rotating cast of passionate players from around the geek community (and beyond!) on their exciting adventures around the Sword Coast!

With over 300 episodes to migrate, the Be Loud Media team had to ensure a seamless migration took place with proper redirects in place that were recognized by all the podcast distributors.
