The Diecast Podcast

THE PROJECT

WordPress Website Redesign for an Independent Podcast

The Diecast Podcast needed to rebrand and migrate a large, content-heavy site without disrupting listeners or losing search visibility. With over 300 podcast episodes already distributed across platforms like Apple and Google, downtime or broken links wasn’t an option.

The project required a clean rebrand, a seamless domain and hosting transition, and a reorganized content structure that made it easier for listeners to explore episodes by season and series, all while preserving existing SEO value and podcast feeds.

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Building a flexible WordPress site for content growth

This project focused on creating a WordPress website that’s easy to manage, simple to navigate, and flexible enough to grow over time. With over 300 episodes to migrate, the Be Loud Media team had to ensure a seamless migration took place with proper redirects in place that were recognized by all the podcast distributors.

The goal was to support content discovery, improve usability for new visitors, and give the client a podcast platform that wouldn’t require constant technical upkeep.

1.

The Challenge

The existing site made it difficult to organize content and guide new visitors. Managing episodes and updates required more effort than it should have, and the overall structure didn’t support long-term growth.

2.

Our Approach

We started by simplifying content structure and navigation. UX decisions were based on how listeners actually explore content, keeping layouts clear and minimizing unnecessary complexity.

3.

The Solution

A custom WordPress build with a clean, content-first layout. The site was designed to be easy to update podcasts, flexible for future needs, and reliable without ongoing technical intervention. Included full migration.

4.

Results

A clearer content experience, easier updates, and a site that’s ready to scale. The client now has a platform that supports growth instead of getting in the way. AND they got a nomination for best podcast series!

This project is a good example of how we approach WordPress web design and development, focusing on clarity, usability, and long-term flexibility.
